2023 Korean Literature Translation Awards : Have you ever participated in a suburban activity contest while studying abroad? Don’t think you just need to study well. Of course, studying in college is important, but we need to have different experiences. It is both studying and helpful for our future development. So today, I would like to recommend you the Korean Literature Translation Award. Go ahead and watch it with me!
The Korean Literature Translation Institute, which hosted the competition, planned and held to discover new Korean Wave translators who can lead Korean cultural contents. This year’s contest category has added cartoons from existing literature (books) and movies. You can choose a field of interest and submit your work. By the way, what specific requirements do you have? The prerequisite is that you must be a newcomer in the field of translation. Most college students who still go to school, like us, meet this condition. If the conditions are right, you can select and translate the translated work, and submit the application form, personal information collection consent form, and the work according to the deadline.
2023 Korean Literature Translation Awards : You can select the works in the table below as the entries you want to translate. However, it is important to note that different departments have different languages to translate. First, there are nine languages (including English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese (simplified/traditional), Japanese, and Vietnamese) in the literature section, five languages (including English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Vietnamese) in the cartoon section, and five languages (including French, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese). In addition, the award will be awarded to one winner per language, and the winner will be awarded a plaque and 5 million won in prize money. Therefore, please note that only one language and one category can be applied per person. In addition, all teams do not accept co-translation, and if plagiarism is found, the prize will be canceled.
