About Korean fast food!

Does everyone know about Korean fast food?? What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of “Food Snack”? I think tteokbokki will come to mind first! But there are many different kinds of food besides tteokbokki! Shall we dig into the street food today?

As the name suggests, the meaning of fast food is ‘food made of flour’, that is, food made of flour. Snacks became very popular in the 1960s and 1970s. At that time, the United States exported a lot of agricultural products to Korea in the form of aid, and a large amount of flour came in. However, the taste of the people who got used to rice did not change easily, so the government tried to promote the consumption of wheat rather than rice as a ‘mixture promotion campaign’! This is how the concept of street food spread.

Now, snack food refers to foods that are close to snacks or convenience foods rather than a meal, so there are many snack shops in front of the school. In fact, it can be said that fast food is a Korean fast food restaurant, so it consists of a type of food that can be cooked quickly and easily and is relatively cheap! The characteristic of a snack bar is that it is cheap and comes out quickly!!

There are rice cakes, fried foods, skewers, noodles, etc. if you categorize the types of snacks in a big way! There are tteok-bokki and rice cake skewers There are various kinds of fried foods, such as fried vegetables, fried sweet potatoes, fried shrimp, fried squid, and dried seaweed rolls.

Skewers include chicken skewers, hot dogs, fish cakes, and sotteok. For noodles, there are ramen, banquet noodles, udon, and jjolmyeon! If you add more, you can generally eat gimbap, sundae, omurice, dumplings, and stews at snack bars. Gimbap Heaven, which you’ve seen many times while walking on the street, is this snack bar.

Street food is
The original meaning of snack food means “food made of flour,” especially food made of flour. During the mixed meal promotion movement in the 1960s and 1970s, the use of flour was actively encouraged to reduce the consumption of rice, and the word “bunsik” was coined in this process. This has now changed its meaning to words that include snacks that correspond to the original meaning such as tteokbokki and fried food, as well as simple foods such as gimbap or street food that do not. Therefore, today’s snack food overlaps with some categories such as light food.

A snack bar?
The stores that sell snacks are called “bunsikjip” and “bunsikjip.” As mentioned earlier, the meaning of “bunsik” has changed, so it refers to a small store that mainly sells gimbap or tteokbokki today.
There are many different kinds of snack bars. Some places are similar to restaurants, while others sell street food. Similar to a rice restaurant, there is Gimbap Heaven, and all kinds of menus are sold at low prices, so it is actually more like a low-priced restaurant than a snack bar.
In recent years, the main character of snack bars is usually gimbap, and “gimbap” is often included in the franchise name below. However, in this case, they do not sell only gimbap, but they are often snack bars with gimbap. Recently, there are also restaurants that specialize only in gimbap. In the case of tteokbokki restaurants, there are many places that sell only tteokbokki + fried food, and even soondae.
Its strength is that it comes out cheap and fast, so it is often in front of schools/companies targeting students who do not have money or office workers who have short lunch hours. Business hours are also open from lunch time according to the target group.

Do you know about four major insurances policies in Korea?

Have you ever heard of the word "four major insurances"?If you've watched news and TV a lot while living in Korea, you've probably heard it at least once. But what's the big four insurance policies? Does it matter to foreigners?I'll tell you more about the four major insurances today. What are the four major insurances? Korea's four major insurances refer to all four insurances directly managed by the government to ensure a stable economic life for the people from social risks. In Korea, people with income, companies, and institutions are required to pay four major insurances! It's a mandatory subscription insurance that all workers must sign up for, regardless of whether they are interns, non-regular workers, or regular workers!Foreigners also have to pay four major insurances if they work for a Korean company! When you look at job postings on recruitment sites, there are often the same conditions as "four major insurances included." Some companies offer four major insurances instead, or some companies have such conditions, such as 50%. What are the four major insurances? The four major insurances include national pension, national health insurance, employment insurance, and industrial accident compensation insurance. In the case of international students, if they live in Korea for more than six months, they are obligated to pay national health insurance every month. If you get a job in Korea, you have to pay the national pension, employment insurance, and industrial accident compensation insurance in addition to the national health insurance. Then what kind of benefits do you think each insurance provides? The four major insurances don't usually get any benefits right away, but they can get benefits depending on the conditions of the insurance the national pension The National Pension Service pays 4.5% of its monthly salary as an insurance premium almost every year. The national pension, which is later paid for retirement, is a system created in preparation for not being able to work if a worker retires after a certain age. In other words, when you retire later, you have the amount you can get every month, and that amount will be returned to the National Pension Service we paid for! employment insurance It is a system created for...
