If you are looking for a #scholarship, check out this post. Next is the “Five Scholarships for Korea.”

There are two tracks within the Global Korea Scholarship i.e GKS Scholarship:
Embassy Track and University Track. This blog post goes over the main differences between these tracks, as well as how to apply and how many spots are available for each country.

1️⃣ GKS Scholarship 💜
Global Korea Scholarship is a scholarship program run by the Korean government. The program aims to provide students with overseas nationality with academic experience in Korea and promote cultural exchanges and understanding between Korea and other countries. It’s a scholarship for both undergraduate and graduate students.

GKS can apply for both graduate and undergraduate courses, and there are no restrictions on the major field. Also, it is characterized by reducing the financial burden by providing tuition, living expenses, and round-trip airfare to international students.

Details can be found on the official website of GKS (www.studyinkorea.go.kr ) operated by the Ministry of Education of Korea.

“Studying in South Korea under the GKS Scholarship was a life changing experience that I will cherish my whole life. I met young minds from all over the world, made unforgettable memories and ended up calling South Korea as “my second homeland.” – Majid Mushtaq

Global Korea Scholarship i.e GKS Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships that offers various opportunities to hundreds of students around the world to conduct advanced studies in undergraduate & graduate programs at higher educational institutions in South Korea.

The program aims to promote international exchanges in education and mutual friendship between countries. The total number of grantees is: 220 undergraduate, 1,080 graduates students (subject to change with any change depending on budget).

The Global Korea Scholarship i.e GKS Scholarship, also known as the Korean Government Scholarship (KGSP), is one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world and lets you study in South Korea for free. But, unlike other scholarships, the process to apply for the GKS Scholarship is a bit different, for there are two ways to apply: Embassy Track vs University Track.

In this post, let us talk in detail about the following topics:

  • Difference between Embassy Track vs University Track
  • The quota for each track
  • The application process for each track
  • Which track is better
1) Difference between GKS Scholarship Embassy Track vs University Track

GKS Scholarship is offered to applicants all over the world and applicants can choose either one of these tracks. Although the scholarship benefits are exactly the same for the applicants of each track, the main difference lies in the application process.

Embassy Track = 3 Step Process

Embassy Selection > NIIED Selection > University Selection

University Track = 2 Step Process

University Selection > NIIED Selection

But there is also another thing that you must need to keep in mind, which is, the number of universities that can be selected via each track.

Embassy Track = 3 Universities

The applicant is allowed to select 3 universities and has to get acceptance in the 3rd step in at least one of these universities

University Track = 1 University

The applicant is allowed to select just 1 university at the time of applying and to avail the GKS Scholarship, he/she must get accepted by that particular university.

Do you know about four major insurances policies in Korea?

Have you ever heard of the word "four major insurances"?If you've watched news and TV a lot while living in Korea, you've probably heard it at least once. But what's the big four insurance policies? Does it matter to foreigners?I'll tell you more about the four major insurances today. What are the four major insurances? Korea's four major insurances refer to all four insurances directly managed by the government to ensure a stable economic life for the people from social risks. In Korea, people with income, companies, and institutions are required to pay four major insurances! It's a mandatory subscription insurance that all workers must sign up for, regardless of whether they are interns, non-regular workers, or regular workers!Foreigners also have to pay four major insurances if they work for a Korean company! When you look at job postings on recruitment sites, there are often the same conditions as "four major insurances included." Some companies offer four major insurances instead, or some companies have such conditions, such as 50%. What are the four major insurances? The four major insurances include national pension, national health insurance, employment insurance, and industrial accident compensation insurance. In the case of international students, if they live in Korea for more than six months, they are obligated to pay national health insurance every month. If you get a job in Korea, you have to pay the national pension, employment insurance, and industrial accident compensation insurance in addition to the national health insurance. Then what kind of benefits do you think each insurance provides? The four major insurances don't usually get any benefits right away, but they can get benefits depending on the conditions of the insurance the national pension The National Pension Service pays 4.5% of its monthly salary as an insurance premium almost every year. The national pension, which is later paid for retirement, is a system created in preparation for not being able to work if a worker retires after a certain age. In other words, when you retire later, you have the amount you can get every month, and that amount will be returned to the National Pension Service we paid for! employment insurance It is a system created for...
