Where Is ‘XO Kitty’ Filmed? Filming locations in Korea : XO, Kitty is finally available to stream on Netflix, and tons of people are watching the new teen series. It tells To All the Boys fan-favorite character Kitty Song Covey’s story as she embarks on a journey to find true love.

New York Times best-selling author Jenny Han created the show for Netflix. It’s a spin-off to the hit To All the Boys film trilogy and stars the amazingly talented actress Anna Cathcart as the loveable Kitty character. Kitty is now 16 years old and has decided to move halfway across the world to Korea to be reunited with her long-distance boyfriend and learn more about her late mother’s life.

Since the show is set in South Korea, you might be wondering if the cast and crew actually filmed there as well. As always, that’s no problem for us. Unsurprisingly, some fans are wondering if KISS is a real school, as the show’s cast and crew also traveled to Korea to film the Netflix series. For anyone with Seoul on their travel bucket list, there are quite a few XO, Kitty filming locations you can’t miss. We shared where XO, Kitty was filmed right below.

XO Kitty Filming locations Korea #1 INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Incheon International Airport, 중구 공항로 272, Jung, Incheon 22382, South Korea

When Kitty lands at Incheon International Airport outside Seoul, she just misses her shuttle to KISS. But those airport scenes, complete with fellow travelers and signs in Korean and English, look real for a reason — they were captured on location at ICN. The finale airport scenes, though no less bustling, were filmed inside the Korea International Exhibition Center, or KINTEX. The minute you arrive in Korea, you’ll already be at your first XO, Kitty filming location. Netflix used Incheon International Airport to film the scenes where Kitty first lands in Korea. Take your time checking out the cafes and stores when you arrive. Just make sure you don’t miss your shuttle bus like Kitty did.

XO Kitty Filming locations Korea #2 DONGDAEMUN DESIGN PLAZA for KISS welcome party

Dongdaemun Design Plaza, 중구 을지로 281, Seoul, 04566, South Korea

Kitty and her classmates visit one of Seoul’s most famous landmarks in the first episode as the students’ welcome party is shot at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. A hub of the Dongdaemun neighborhood, the DDP contains parks, exhibition halls, retail stores and even a design museum — and is also the site of Kitty’s dramatic exit from the party in Episode 2. Dongdaemun Design Plaza, or DDP, is an iconic landmark in Seoul that’s known for its art exhibitions and shopping. You can actually stay in the DDP by booking an ENHYPEN Airbnb for Seoul Fashion Week. Or, you can just stop by to take some pictures.

XO Kitty Filming locations Korea #3 SEOJANGDAE for hiking

Seojangdae (Western Command Post), Suwon, Gyeonggi-do 16259, South Korea

The students of KISS take advantage of Seoul’s scenic surroundings thanks to Outdoors Club president Q. In the fourth episode, they go hiking to this monument, which was originally a military command post established in the late 1700s. This is a historical landmark and command post, which offers gorgeous views of the city. If you’re looking for something a little outdoorsy just like Kitty, a hike here is a great choice. Hopefully, if you trip, you have someone like Dae there to catch you.

XO Kitty Filming locations Korea #4 HANARO MART

When Kitty accidentally talks herself into cooking a Chuseok “Friendsgiving” feast for the KISS ex-pats, she runs into Min Ho (Lee) while grocery shopping. Luckily, her frenemy helps her buy the ingredients to make a true Korean dinner… and then makes it himself. There are quite a few Hanaro Marts, but according to Netflix, the show filmed at the Seoul Central Market for this particular scene in Episode 5.

XO Kitty Filming locations Korea #5 YEONGHEUNG ISLAND for camping trip

Yunghung Do, 영흥면, Ongjin, Incheon 23119, South Korea

The scenes for the class camping field trip were filmed on Yeongheung Island. While the students stayed at a campground — Black Tree Camping — in real life, the actors lodged at a Mykonos-themed hotel. “It was just like, ‘Where are we right now? This is insane,’ ” Keyvan tells Tudum. And the community garden where Madison (Jocelyn Shelfo) finally meets K-pop star Ocean Park was, coincidentally, right next to the ocean. “The view from there was so beautiful,” he says. Dae and Kitty have their own seaside romantic moment at another park on the island. For an adventurous trip to South Korea, you might want to go camping as well. Even if you don’t stay over, a day trip to Yeongheungdo Island is a great idea. You could go sightseeing on a yacht tour or spend the day at a beach.

Do you know about four major insurances policies in Korea?

Have you ever heard of the word "four major insurances"?If you've watched news and TV a lot while living in Korea, you've probably heard it at least once. But what's the big four insurance policies? Does it matter to foreigners?I'll tell you more about the four major insurances today. What are the four major insurances? Korea's four major insurances refer to all four insurances directly managed by the government to ensure a stable economic life for the people from social risks. In Korea, people with income, companies, and institutions are required to pay four major insurances! It's a mandatory subscription insurance that all workers must sign up for, regardless of whether they are interns, non-regular workers, or regular workers!Foreigners also have to pay four major insurances if they work for a Korean company! When you look at job postings on recruitment sites, there are often the same conditions as "four major insurances included." Some companies offer four major insurances instead, or some companies have such conditions, such as 50%. What are the four major insurances? The four major insurances include national pension, national health insurance, employment insurance, and industrial accident compensation insurance. In the case of international students, if they live in Korea for more than six months, they are obligated to pay national health insurance every month. If you get a job in Korea, you have to pay the national pension, employment insurance, and industrial accident compensation insurance in addition to the national health insurance. Then what kind of benefits do you think each insurance provides? The four major insurances don't usually get any benefits right away, but they can get benefits depending on the conditions of the insurance the national pension The National Pension Service pays 4.5% of its monthly salary as an insurance premium almost every year. The national pension, which is later paid for retirement, is a system created in preparation for not being able to work if a worker retires after a certain age. In other words, when you retire later, you have the amount you can get every month, and that amount will be returned to the National Pension Service we paid for! employment insurance It is a system created for...
